The SE500 line of serial encoders is designed with internal circuitry to handle all quadrature decoding, counting and serial interface functions. This innovative technology eliminates complicated interface and counting electronics. The SE500 responds to simple two character ASCII coded commands with a variety of internal parameters, counter registers and help information. Anyone can install and access this encoder with a computer serial port.

The BEI Motion Control Systems H25 Incremental Encoder is the basis for the SE500. Its mechanical components are as provided by BEI and the Miranova circuits are hidden in the standard case. This provides you with the known reliability of the BEI encoder coupled with innovative electronics from Miranova Systems, Inc.

SERIAL INTERFACE

1. The SE500 accommodates the standard RS232, RS422, and RS485 serial protocols.

2. Serial transmission from 2400 to 115200 baud.

3. Selectable transmission rate assures accurate counting even in a noisy environment.
